On Tuesday 13th March Year 12 attended the UCAS Higher Education Exhibition at Manchester Central. The event lasted from 9.00am to 11.30am and had a range of career paths such as apprenticeships to Russell group universities. This day was highly insightful for students to gain a better understanding of career options and opportunities open to them after Year 13. Students had the chance to visit a variety of stalls and meet the admissions staff which gave a better informed view of subject courses and necessary requirements. Prospectuses were available at each stall for students to take away with them which was beneficial as they included more information that they may not have known before-hand. Ultimately, the exhibit was effective in promoting awareness of the different career paths and what opportunities are available for higher education. Roheema Yasmin
