Students have a one-day conference to get them thinking about their path after A Levels. This includes a talk from a motivational speaker, sessions on how to use the UCAS website to search and learn about courses, a talk from a University Admissions Tutor on Making the Most of Year 12, an introduction to the EPQ and a careers fair with over 30 exhibitors.
This is a two day conference designed to prepare students for their UCAS application. (There is also a different route for students who are applying to apprenticeships who will have a mock interview and interview training, write a CV, have talks from KPG, PWC, ) Over the two days the students have a variety of talks and sessions including:
There is a second pathway for students who are applying for apprenticeships only. They have talks and sessions over the two days including:
September Students applying to Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinarian science complete their application.
October Students applying for all other courses complete their application by the October half term.
November Mock interviews for students who are applying for completive universities.
Students make their firm and conditional choices to their chosen universities.
As an affiliated Woodard School , Crompton House students have access to the Woodard University of Oxford Masterclass courses which aims to prepare students for the application process to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
