Sixth Form Leadership

Student Management Team

The Student Management Team (SMT) represent Crompton House at events on behalf of the Sixth Form, they also represent the views, opinions, requests of the Sixth Form student body themselves. The SMT is made up of a Head Boy, Head Girl and a group of Senior Prefects who are elected annually by their peers, following a hustings event were candidates introduce themselves and present their ideas for how they can contribute to improving the Sixth Form.

Following their election, the SMT meet regularly together and also with Mr Smith and Mrs Heggarty, to discuss and implement their ideas. Initiatives which they have led on in previous years include: choosing and raising money for charities, leading assemblies both for the Sixth Form and main school, environmental awareness including climate change, and raising the profile of movements such as Black Lives Matter and Pride.

Head Students: Sam Hollis & Destiny Duru

Senior Prefects: Saffiya Rahman-Khan, Ben Green, Tabitha Benson, Izaak Beck, Matilda Adamson.

The SMT play an integral role at the school and Sixth Form Open Evening, as well as Speech Night, organising the Year 13 prom and many other events both in school and in our local community.  It is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in leadership, public speaking, team work, organisation, delegation and decision making.

Although the SMT lead on student issues and initiatives, they regularly invite other students to join specific events such as helping to run assemblies and coordinate charity events.

There are many occasions for Sixth Form students to develop leadership skills (as well as many other valuable skills) through involvement in Gold DofE, sport, music and drama, but there are also opportunities to get involved in other aspects of Sixth Form life such as events, media and promotional work, talks, assemblies, charity work, mentoring of main school students, subject based master classes and many more.
