Our Swedish exchange school visited at the beginning of October, coming to Oldham to stay with their Crompton House partners.
Having visited Norkopping in the middle of winter, with temperatures reaching -15 ºC, it was a very different experience for our guests coming for a wet and windy week.
Fortunately the weather didn’t dampen spirits, with Nandos nights and bowling trips taking place, as well as visits to Manchester for sight seeing and shopping. We visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach on the Friday as a whole group, enjoying some sunshine in the park before getting fish and chips for tea and then taking a coach ride through the Illuminations before heading home.
On Saturday the group split up, with everyone making different plans – some even went all the way down to London to see a West End show!
On Sunday it was time to say ‘goodbye’ – it has been fantastic getting to know our Swedish peers and we were sorry to see them go.
